My name is Martin Gregus Jr. but My family and close friends call me Matko. I am a Slovakian-Canadian wildlife photographer based in Vancouver, BC where my passion for nature and dedication to capturing our planet’s beauty has turned from a hobby to a career that has lasted over 15 years. I’ve dedicated my time to discovering the Earth’s secret troves, hidden treasures, and honourable habitats and I hope you enjoy what the world has to offer through my eyes and lens.

My passion for photography began when I was 7 years old after patiently watching my father Martin Gregus Sr taking pictures of various subjects and people in our studio. Eventually, after moving to CANADA IN 2004 I GOT MY FIRST CAMERA AS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND I quickly became obsessed with the beauty and uniqueness of OUR WORLD; seeing patterns and movement in landscapes that were often ignored. Capturing the beauty of ordinary situations and never before seen moments I try to tell the story of our planet through my work.
